2013 – Motivating Yourself to Exercise – 168 Hours in a Week – What Do You Do With Your Time?

Do you find yourself telling people you are “busy”?

What do you do with your 24 hours on a given day? Do you hit the snooze button a few times? There goes 10-15 minutes! Do you watch commercials during a favorite show? There goes 15 minutes! Do you get stuck in rush hour both AM and PM? There goes another 30-60 minutes!

Wow! Talk about wasted time! It appears some of us are busy wasting time but do not realize it! You can skip the snooze button, skip watching commercials, and drive to work earlier and leave later (those who do not have obligations) to save 60-90 minutes in one day!

What can you do with this newly earned time? You could use it to read a book, take a walk, call an old friend, or even exercise! Imagine how much stress you can avoid by making time to socialize or exercise! You have to be motivated to want to do these things and motivated to find time for these things. You are in charge: Nobody else will rearrange your day for you.

It is possible a single day can be busy with school, work, kids, friends, projects, etc.

How about looking at your week? Can you say every single day of the week is so chaotic you can not make time for 15 minutes of YOU time? With 168 hours in a week it seems impossible that you cannot make YOU time! Again, you have to be motivated for yourself. Others are unable to rework your daily schedule let alone weekly schedule.

There is a quote that goes something like, “How we live our days, is ultimately, how we live our lives.” (author unknown) When you are the person constantly telling people, “I am too busy” you are the person hiding behind the veneer of not having time. You have the time; you simply choose to use it in other ways.

Nobody is too busy. We all have 24 hours in a day. We all have 168 hours in a week. 52 weeks a year, and so on…

Motivate yourself with small daily changes:

Skip one snooze button tap.

Sip one set of commercials.

Skip driving to work DURING rush hour and get to work early, take a book read, and enjoy the stress-free non-traffic time!

The idea is, motivate yourself to change for the better. Motivate yourself to take charge of your 24 hours a day and 168 hours a week. We do not know how long we have on this Earth; so let’s make the best of what we have!

There is no better way to spend this newly discovered free time than by exercising and improving your health!
